Instructor

Luiz Faye: Luiz Faye, comes to us from Rotherham, England. An entrepreneur in her own right, she started Kronik Warrior Aromatherapy in response to her own life experiences. A degenerative condition that affects the discs and joints in my spine, pelvis, and nerves in her legs. By the age of 31, she was using crutches or a wheelchair to get around and due to this, she was medically retired from my 10-year career in the police service. While in rehab she was doing some lower limb exercises with her PT one day when she pointed to the punching bag in the corner of the gym and told him how she wished that she had given boxing a try. He simply replied, “why not do it in your wheelchair?!” Intrigued and excited by the thought, she went home and booked a class with a boxing coach.

Meditation

A unique art that uses movement and music to help connect the mind and body while focusing on the breath and labeling your thoughts.

Instructor

Nikki Palma: For a decade I had been struggling with chronic pain I didn’t understand, and no one seemed able to diagnose. Meditation brought a bit of ease into my body, but the greater shift happened in my mind. Suddenly my body and I were partners rather than adversaries. Years, and several diagnoses later my yoga reaches far beyond the four corners of my mat. I’ve learned to access the “after yoga” feeling of calm in different ways. Along the way, I also discovered a deep passion for teaching. She has her 200-hour certification in meditation and yoga, accessible yoga, and yoga for amputees.

Kettlebells

Kettlebell is the perfect addition to your training as it requires mobility, body awareness, & strength. Kettlebells are great conditioning tools for developing cardio and muscular endurance as well. The routines work motor skills and your balance more than traditional weights.

Instructor:

Tyler Pickett: Knowing the mechanics of the body and just how the body works and feeding your mind with positivity are key to staying injury-free. Being in the exercise field has given him not only the confidence to help others but also the motivation to continue pushing and reach his own personal goals. CF-L1 and Adaptive and Inclusive Trainer certifications.

Adaptive Cross Training (AX Training)

Adaptive cross-training uses various activities to achieve overall conditioning. Cross-training uses activities outside the normal exercises commonly associated with a sport or fitness routine. These exercises target the muscles from a different angle or resistance and work to balance. Cross-training is an effective way of resting the body from normal sport-specific activities while maintaining conditioning.

Functional Mobility

Stretching and mobility may not be the most exciting part of working out but doing flexibility work is just as important for a well-rounded fitness routine as strength and cardio work. Incorporating some stretching exercises into your workout schedule will help you improve flexibility, reduce tightness, and ultimately, make your workouts more efficient and safer.
